Concept
A polytheistic religion, with Heavy Metal music its essence & core.
This concept refers to other religions by the attributes of a collective & established religion that consists: Holidays, Holy places, a gods Pantheon, set of social norms & mythological stories all combine into one religion.
The stories presented tell the tales of the personas involve in the Metal religion, as well as fictional stories that focus on the ethos of the religion: the Birth of the world, the apocalyptic end of days, & messianic tales of the Metal messiah.
At the center stands my own personal story, as in this imaginery world, I made my persona, the anointed messanger of the religion, a messiah.
The Audience
First, it touches the main nerve of lost Metal souls: Heavy Metal musicians, fans of extreme bands & rock alternative subgenres.
Second, it refers to Fantasy art lovers and sci-fi geeks, as well as anyone who enjoys good humor, as this project is made in a satirical sense: it is based on the theatrical extremes & over the top tools of attraction, in which domestic religions used throughout history.

This is a Multi-interface project, combined with four models to create one big installation: The main focus (1) is An interactive biblical book, (2) presented on a huge altar of worship, (3) that stands Infront of a neo renaissance mosaic, (4) with a symbolic 3D model figurine, filling the blackness of the room with its glow.
Inspiration
My inspirations consists of plenty of Religions and spiritual communities, starting from the Abrahamic monotheistic religions: Christianity, Judaism & Islam, to the polytheistic religions: Gaelic, Eastern Asia (such as Japanism Shinto), Scandinavian & Slavic paganism, Greek classical mythos & many more.
The religion is the first part of two worlds, the second inspiration of course will be the Metal culture: I researched different sub genres of Metal (such as Black & Death Metal), Alternative clothing from band T-shirts, to jewelries, to Main venues and big arenas as the place of gatherings, and finally how the music is presented to the world: from those who try to mimic its culture, from other musical genres (pop, country), to how Metal music is cought to some people: as a different, underground, dark but unique culture with unique community.
Process
At the start of the road, I thought about building a project more related to an adventure game, where the character needs to complete levels in shapes of temples, fighting mythological creatures and equip artifacts.
Right from the start, I used the tools of Ai: Midjourney & Chat GPT helped me build up the world of the game, from characters to game mechanics. I kept in mind these are tools only, so I wont be dependent on Ai when expending my ideas.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to finish this kind of game in such a short time (6 months), and the mechanism was just too much complex. I decided to drop this idea, for a more interactive experience outside of the computer.

When brainstorming again, A question came to mind: what makes a set of stories,
to an established religion?
The answer is combined bible that focuses on answers from the world beyond, delivered by a strong spokesman.
This is were I saw potential in delivering my personal story inside the project.
I decided first to focus on my own bible, that tales the main stories of my religion. I went back to my previous academic studies at Tel-Aviv uni. where I wrote a seminar about comparative mythologies: I focused on the repetitive stories that pop out in different places around the world that share the same traits of mythological and religious stories such as: world creation, end of days and the messianic tales.
I kept working with Ai to create a combined unique characters, arts and tools of a new religion based on the old,
This is the first of many tries in combining Heavy Metal with religious traits.
Writing the Metal bible, page by page, after a month I noticed I reached 150 pages of Ai art and paragraphs, then I understood I need to focus more on the ideas behind the stories, and not just random images and words that refer to spiritual concepts.
I decided first to focus on the building blocks of any religion:
I went back to my previous academic studies at Tel-Aviv uni. where I wrote a seminar about comparative mythologies, there I focused on the repetitive stories that pop out in different places around the world that share the same traits of mythological and religious stories such as: world creation, end of days and the messianic tales.
This is the results of The three main stories in the Metal Bible:
Creation of the world, Apocalyptic end of days & the messianic tales.
Then, expending the world of Metal religion by creating a pantheon of Gods:
The Congregation of gods, following the messaiah, the Good personas, in which will be famous Metal artists, combined with different mythological stories with their own bio, as well as the Evil personas, Pop artists that uses Metal culture for their own popularity and gain (not true Metalheads!) and bad reputation Metal artists that shame the community, or give it a bad name.

What will be the art of the Metal Religion?
The second object presented in the gallery was a Printed Mosaic 3D based characters,
decorating the room, as in church, it presents the Pantheon of the Metal gods.
The mosaic was made with Cinema 4D | FaceGen | Daz studio programs.
In order to create the models I had to first reimagine how they will pose on the altar.
Thus taking a blank 3D models and recompose them to my taste.
In order to create the exact imagery of real life people, such as myself, I had to use FaceGen to replicate my image on the face of the model. It was not an easy task but fun none the less.

to create a real atmosphere I build an altar that depicts the respect and owe given in holy places. The person visiting the gallery can go up the altar and read from the digital holy book presented on it.

to represent the iconic image of the messenger.
