Accessible website is a website that allows people with disabilities and older people to browse at the same level of efficiency and pleasure as all skiers. About 20 to 25 percent of the population encounter difficulties of internet use and may improve the browsing experience and reading content on accessible websites, according to a 2003 study by Microsoft.

Accessible site character

The “Accessible Website” is an initiative of the “Israel Accessibility” association and the Israeli Internet Association. The character is placed on sites where the adjustments are made to make available to people with disabilities. The purpose of placing the character is to promote public awareness to internet access and the public is known to users on the site about the extent of its accessibility.

 

Accessibility of the site

This site meets the requirements of equal rights for people with disabilities (adaptability to service), 2013. The Website compatible with the recommendations of the Israeli standard (TI 5568) to accessibility of content on the web at the level of APK and the recommendations of the WCPG2.0 document by W3C. Also, adapted to display in common browsers and to use the cell phone.

 

Reading the screen to people with vision difficulties

Blind or surfing with visual difficulties can help with a screen reading software called DVD or jaws (more expensive). The DVD software can be downloaded freely and will work in English, but to hear text in Hebrew, you must purchase a speech engine in Hebrew that costs 90 euros – for details and link to download the software and purchase the Hebrew engine press here

This site has been made strict accessibility adjustments including semantic and informative realization for helpful technologies, determining navigation and operating with a keyboard only by recommendations for the international network (W3C), color adjustments and adding auxiliary labels and instructions for the benefit of all users. Also, for the purpose of receiving an optimum browsing experience with screen reading software, we recommend using the latest NVDA software.

 

Some of the things done on the site

We added an accessibility component that is adapted to Wix systems, the component allows control of font sizes, block bypass, guide texts to a nvda screen reader and jaws, navda keyboard navigation that makes it easy to browse the site without mouse use, adjusting to the site’s compliance with a nvda screen reader and jaws, creating comfort to view the site in black and white/contrast colors, block animation and any move component on the site, highlight links. It should be noted that despite our efforts to access all pages on the site, the attached documents (such as PDF, Word, Excel) an internal management system and video files are still in accessibility stages and we are working to complete this. Color Match and Display:
